# Behind the Jam — Adobe Creative Jam

## Summary

One theme. Three hours to design. Ninety seconds to present. Competed at Adobe Creative Jams, designing and prototyping a mobile app concept from scratch in three hours.

## The Challenge

The theme was revealed at the start of the event: "Home?" — including the question mark. Teams had to create a visual representation of a mobile app. A three-hour countdown began.

## The Process

### Ideation (First Hour)
Started with word association on a notepad: family, belonging, connection. Exploration led to an insight about dog ownership — countless "I have no idea what I'm doing" moments, sleepless nights, and constant anxiety during the first few months. The problem: if only the person knew someone who could answer all these things when they arise.

### Defining the User Experience
Before jumping into solutions, the user was defined and the core experience was broken into three sections: build a habit (training the owner to build their dog's profile), educate others (creating a database of dog profiles for guidance), and relieve anxiety (making the profile accessible via bots when leaving the dog with a sitter).

### Design & Prototype (Final Two Hours)
Wireframes were built in Adobe XD, a style guide derived from the first screen, and patterns applied across all screens. The home screen was designed in the final fifteen minutes from a quick paper sketch. The prototype was assembled and recorded right as time expired.

## The Presentation

Ninety seconds on stage in front of over three hundred professionals. The team was the last to present, watching others' amazing work while waiting.

## Outcome

Didn't win, but the experience of creating something from nothing in a short span of time — while meeting other designers with incredible talent — made it worthwhile.
